Terms of use

These terms are between you and RV Shift LLC ("RV Shift", "we", "us"). By using this website you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. Our privacy policy explains how we handle your information.

What RV Shift is

RV Shift is a marketplace website. It shows RVs that dealerships list on their own websites, and it helps you find, save and ask about them. RV Shift is not the seller or the dealer of any RV on the site. Every sale is between you and the dealer or seller, and we are not part of it.

If you use "Sell my RV", you send us details of your RV. RV Shift lists only dealers' RVs, so sending the form does not list yours. You confirm that the details you give are true and that the RV is yours to sell.

Listings come from dealers

• Prices, availability, photos, specifications and features come from the dealer's own website. They can be wrong, out of date, or change at any time.
• We refresh listings from dealers' websites on a schedule, not live. An RV may have sold before our page shows it, and one marked "Sale pending" may still sell.
• A price on RV Shift is what the dealer's website showed when we last looked. It is not an offer from us. The dealer sets the final price and terms, and may add fees, taxes or other charges. Ask the dealer for the full price.
• Confirm everything with the dealer before you buy, pay a deposit or travel to see an RV.
• Listing text and photos belong to the dealers who posted them.

RV Finder and towing guidance

The RV Finder is a guided questionnaire. It checks RVs against your tow vehicle using the vehicle maker's published ratings and the weights the dealer listed. What it shows is guidance, not a promise that any RV is safe or legal to tow with your vehicle. When it says an RV is within your vehicle's published rating, it means only that the numbers we have fit.

• Confirm every rating with your owner's manual and the sticker in your driver's door jamb.
• Ask the dealer for the RV's real weights and hitch type. Listed weights can be missing or wrong.
• The Finder estimates a loaded weight. Your real load (people, gear, water, options) may be heavier.
• The ratings come from makers' published documents. We copied them into the Finder, so we may have made mistakes, and makers may change their numbers. When you answer "Not sure" about a detail, the Finder uses the lowest rating that could apply.
• A VIN lookup uses NHTSA's free decoder, which can be wrong or incomplete.

You are responsible for towing and driving safely, and for staying within the real limits of your vehicle and your RV.

Messages and inquiries

When you send a message about an RV, you ask us to pass it to the dealer. You give us permission to do that, and to use what you wrote to deal with your request. We do not promise that a dealer will reply, or when. Anything you agree with a dealer is between you and the dealer.

Accounts

• You can create an RV Shift account by signing in with Google or Facebook. You must be 18 or older.
• One account is for one person. Do not share your account or sign in as someone else. You are responsible for what happens on your account, and for keeping your Google or Facebook account secure.
• An account keeps your saved RVs, ZIP code and RV Finder answers so they follow you to other devices. We may change what accounts do.
• You can delete your account any time from the account menu, or by emailing hello@rvshift.com. Here is how.
• We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts the site or other people at risk.

Using the site fairly

Please do not:

• use bots, scrapers or other automated tools to read or copy RV Shift or its data, without our written permission;
• overload or disrupt the site, or try to get around its limits or security;
• look for weaknesses in the site, or try to reach accounts or data that are not yours;
• send forms with false or misleading details, someone else's details, or spam;
• pretend to be a person or business you are not;
• harass dealers or other people, or use the site for anything unlawful;
• use RV Shift's name, logo or design in a way that suggests we back you, without our permission.

Dealers and removal requests

Dealer listings on RV Shift come from the dealers' own public websites and, for dealers who joined, from their RV Shift dashboard. If you are a dealer and want your listings removed, email hello@rvshift.com and we will take them down. You can also tell RVshiftBot, the program that keeps listings current, to stay away by adding a rule to your site's robots.txt file. The RVshiftBot page shows how.

If you list your dealership with us, you confirm that you are authorized to list its inventory, and you agree that RV Shift may load its listings and photos from its website.

Who owns what

RV Shift's name, logo, design, text and code belong to us or are used with permission. You may use the site for your own shopping. You may not copy it or use it in other ways without our permission. Listing text and photos belong to the dealers.

Links to other sites

Listings link to dealers' websites, and Directions opens Google Maps. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for them.

No promises about the site

RV Shift is provided "as is" and "as available". We try to keep it accurate and running, but we do not promise that it will be error-free or always available, or that any listing, price, rating or result on it is accurate or complete.

Limits on our responsibility

To the extent the law allows:

• We are not responsible for what a dealer or seller does or does not do, for the RVs you look at or buy, or for what happens when you tow, drive or travel. That includes damage, injury and money lost.
• We are not liable for indirect or knock-on losses, such as lost profits or the cost of a trip.

Nothing in these terms limits responsibility that the law does not let us limit.

Governing law

The laws of the State of Texas govern these terms and your use of RV Shift, except where the law where you live says otherwise.

Changes

We may change the site, or stop parts of it, at any time. We may change these terms too. When we do, we will put the new date at the top of this page. If you keep using RV Shift after that, the new terms apply. You can stop using RV Shift any time.
